September 4th: In-Depth Foraging with Axel Peterman! In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to identify and harvest ~20 wild edible plants. Participants will also learn about safe and responsible foraging practices, and about the role of foraging in its cultural and ecological context.
September 11th: Foraging and Plant Medicine with Jah Brown!
Join Jah of Brown People Foundation for a plant walk on the Wild Mile! Learn about native and invasive plants and their medicianal uses, and make tinctures! Bring your own jar!
September 18th: Soil and Critters Workshop with KP Piña Join KP Piña to learn about compost and critters keep the soil healthy. You will also learn how to use marigold as a dye for art projects!
September 25th: Jewelweed Salve with Joee Cortina! Join Joee Cortina of Shedd Aquarium to learn how to use local Jewelweed - a native plant that grows abundantly along urban waterways - to make a soothing topical salve!
